Postural Therapy involves the analysis of an individual’s posture and the design of a customized program of stretching and exercise to correct postural problems. Change is achieved by understanding the anatomy and mechanics of the spine and related elements, learning to isolate, relax and control specific muscle groups, and strengthening the intrinsic muscles of the back and abdomen.
Postural Therapy will improve spinal mobility and circulation, enhance respiration, and promote a more youthful and attractive appearance. It will help to prevent or slow the natural changes in posture associated with aging.
Postural Therapy is conducted in small groups or privately.
Postural Therapy is NOT for people who have painful backs or problems such as herniated discs, spondylolysis or nerve impingement.
